Tooth-Coloured Fillings

Dental Fillings restore a tooth damaged by decay to its normal function and shape. First, the decaying material is removed from the tooth. The affected area is then cleaned out and filled.
By closing off spaces where bacteria can enter, a filling helps prevent further decay. Materials used for fillings include gold, porcelain, a composite resin (tooth-colored fillings) and an amalgam.
Fillings are also used to repair cracked or broken teeth and teeth that have been worn down from misuse such as nail-biting or grinding.
Sherwood Park Dental Care Centre offers tooth-colored fillings, which blend in seamlessly to the surface of your tooth. For more questions regarding this procedure, please call or visit us.
